Direct swap iron rotors for OEM Carbon Calipers.

Well said. Performance and cost of replacement. Aston Martin DBS equipped with CCB and we are shipping more iron to CCB conversion than other luxurious cars due to OE CCB brakes squeak too much, too loud to put up with although most of these customers are for street driving. Just an option...

Carbon Ceramic Brake for Gen 1

Around $1400-1600 depending on where (online retailer - eBay/Amazon, or GM dealer) and when you buy them. Do some web search and you can easily find them. Once you purchase the ZR1 rotors, you dis-assemble the OE hat, and re-assemble the new CCM disc to RB hat - that's it. Anybody knows how...

Carbon Ceramic Brake for Gen 1

What's your favorite wheel mfgr. May be we can work it out with them and bundle our brake kit with their 18" wheels so that you can be sure the wheel set can clear the kit, so you save some trouble and money - We can just pass the saving on to you.

Carbon Ceramic Brake for Gen 1

Just to clarify this RB-CCB kit is designed to use Corvette C6 ZR1's rear rotor @380mm, not Z28's @390mm nor front's 394/395mm. With our low profile 6 piston calipers we know for sure some aftermarket wheels will fit (like Apex for BMW). However we encourage you to download the template and...

Carbon Ceramic Brake for Gen 1

It will be the same exact kit as the one we just got ready to ship to Viper owners for G5 upgrade as well as down size for the new ACR-E that comes with CCB (from 19" to 18" wheels) http://driveviper.com/forums/threads/16242-Carbon-Ceramic-Brake-Kit-for-G3-4-5?p=275275&viewfull=1#post275275 The...

Carbon Ceramic Brake for Gen 1

The front CCB kit is first released, so you can try it and feel the value of the kit before investing the rear CCB kit. The rear BBK with hand brake is being developed together along with our CCB offer for Viper, Mustang, and Focus etc. cars w/o drum brakes like NSX. RB front 380mm CCM rotor...

Carbon Ceramic Brake for Gen 1

That's correct. CCM rotors need to be larger and thicker, so is larger in brake pads in order to run CCM brake successfully due to the extra high temperature a CCM brake can generate than iron brake.

Direct swap iron rotors for OEM Carbon Calipers.

Working with car enthusiasts in brake development especially for new model is very common for any brake company, in any motorsports community. May be not in NSX community from how it sounds but only time can tell.

Carbon Ceramic Brake for Gen 1

Unfortunately you can't re-use OE calipers due to these CCM rotors are bigger and thicker, and the brake pads must be larger too for CCM rotors. However our offer will come with caliper and pad with a 100% bolt on installation and total system compatibility.

DIY - Upgrading NSX brakes to Racing Brake kits

I just noticed this brake upgrade thread started a decade ago and still going - Same as our brake kits, designed and built with lasting durability and value. Along with our Carbon Ceramic brake introduction to G1 and G2 (also for iron conversion), NSX brake offer is receiving an update, so feel...

Carbon Ceramic Brake for Gen 1

Carbon Ceramic Brakes for NSX Hello, RacingBrake is proud to be a sponsor of this forum. As some NSX owners have already known us, we were the first brake company introduced our two piece rotors for 97-05 NSX, and further released our affordable but track performer OE caliper BBK for both...

Direct swap iron rotors for OEM Carbon Calipers.

This is just another "control scare" that those car mfgr/deals are playing so that you "should" only bring your car to them under their "program". We shipped more brake conversions (CCM to iron, iron to CCM) than any competition. From the earliest factory CCM (Ferrari) to the latest BMW F80...

Anyone is interested in this conversion? BTW does anyone know if G2 spindle is the same as G1.

    Unofficial weight reduction thread

I am sure it should have been taken care of, over the years we have fine tuned our casting metallurgy and design details. Hundreds of NSX owners have been running these kits for more than 10 years now and hardly anyone is buying replacement rings, so either they don't race hard enough or our...

NSX is not new to us, we were the first company introduced stock size light weight two piece rotors to fit OE calipers back in early 2000, and later we added OE caliper BBK (324x28 front; 330x24 rear with longer brackets (still use OE calipers), plus our 4 pot caliper kits for further upgrade...

Theoretically you could, but pad availability with comparable volume as for larger rotor will be an issue. I don't know if any CCB rotor mfgr will even consider for such a smaller rotor (as they only go bigger). In fact the G2 CCM's 380mm is considered small comparing to other modern high end...

    Unofficial weight reduction thread

Due to CCM rotors are light in mass so for the same amount of energy absorption they generate higher temperature than iron couterpart, therefore the CCM rotors (same as the pad) must be larger in volume in order to run them successfully on track w/o overheat issues. For example when Porsche...

Agree. We have many brake kits to fit 17" wheels (including for NSX), but CCM brake kits are intended for those G1 owners who are looking to upgrade their brakes to the latest technology such as on G2 380mm. In fact we even have the complete two piece rotors assembly built for Bembo 13" brake...

We used Corvette ZR1 CCM discs for most of our CCB development, which is 394x36 front and 390x32 or 380x34 rear. We can supply rotors from Surface Transforms in UK also but we choose them because: 1. They are easily available - We deal with GM local dealer and the rotor can be have next day...

A few years back some incidents were reported from BMW 135 owners during sever winter morning when the car is parked in the garage, we have since chrome plated the piston and never had that issue again. Today we offer the most comprehensive OE caliper rebuild/upgrade components, and RB is the...
