The cluster pinning changed for the build year 1995. In addition, Honda changed the way they count the pins somewhere along the way. If I remember correctly, the physical ETMs from 1991, 1997 and 2002 all contain cluster information.

Capacitor failure is an interesting technical topic. While seal failure and leakage are well known cases, the PCBs in the NSX are affected very differently. You need to apply 12 V to either the left or the right hand pin of each connector at the hydraulic block. One activates the inlet, the other the outlet valve. Note that the outlet valve opens when supplied with 12 V but the inlet valve closes.

The pin-out stickers on all radio types I handled so far (US/EU/J) showed no difference.

The capacitors are mostly the same in all build years but differ between subwoofer and door speaker. Bose did change the layout slightly over the years. Proposed way is to take out your amplifier boards, check each one against the list in the write-up and order accordingly.

The oil pressure gauge is identical in all versions of the cluster I worked on so far (USDM, EUDM, JDM). It simply displays a given voltage on the oil pressure pin.

The GROM works as a replacement for the CD changer. Switching to CD/GROM is done by pressing the tuning button until the display changes to CD mode. Since it's a two way communication bus on the CD changer port, the switch to CD mode only happens if a working CD changer or GROM is attached to...
