WTB OEM Spoiler from Acura Dealer?

Thanks all. Actually it just finally showed up at the dealer, just under 5 months later. (The other guy’s) insurance is paying for it…

WTB OEM Spoiler from Acura Dealer?

Has anyone had any success getting a new 91-05 OEM spoiler through an Acura dealer in the recent past? I’ve had one on back order for over four months now and am wondering if it’s futile to keep waiting and if I should start looking for a used one instead. Thanks, Keith 97T blue/tan

Current SF Bay Area body shop recommendations

Hi Chip, Glad to see you still have yours too. I remember checking out your Tubi exhaust way back at one of the Bridgepoint meet ups. I went to see Luis yesterday at Cologne, based upon on the recommendations, and also because they were the shop State Farm recommended. He called me today...

Current SF Bay Area body shop recommendations

Hi All, My ‘97 Monte Carlo blue/tan NSX got rear ended tonight in San Mateo. Arghh. The lifted pickup truck that ran into us hit it high, so I don’t think it damaged the bumper but instead hit the tail lights and the spoiler and the trunk lid is pushed back and it won’t open easily. (I don’t...

    Jim Russell is BACK!!

No, the woman who answered the phone never even heard of him, and when she asked someone else they just said no he doesn't work there. It was very cryptic. Even though I said I'm an NSX owner who's worked with him before etc.

    September 2 Remember Event

Who's Monte Carlo blue one is in the 5th picture? I thought mine and the one Chip has (or had?) were the only MCB ones around here.

Do you know the difference in these part numbers?

Thanks to you both - glad to see that I'm not the only one mystified by this... I went ahead and ordered them as prescribed, and they're both available and the exact same price on acurapartsforless.com. But it's weird that they aren't more obviously different somehow.

Do you know the difference in these part numbers?

18215-SL0-A00 vs 18215-SL0-A10 ? They're both rubber exhaust hangars but per the manual you use five of the first one (A00) and only one of the second one (A10) for the six exhaust and cat hanging points. I have them off and can't tell the difference between them. Is the A10 longer, shorter...

    Fujitsubo Super Ti Exhaust

I just weighed mine. It is 20.0 pounds on my digital scale. But in comparing it to stock I'd technically need to throw in the weight of the SOS adaptors when they show up tomorrow as well, since my car is a '97. Hopefully I'll get some time to install it this weekend, and then try to figure...

    Fujitsubo Super Ti Exhaust

Thanks! No I hadn't seen/heard those. Glad to see though that it appears you can fully accelerate up the hill past the sound shack at LS with it. Based upon its stats I was thinking it might not pass their db limits. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=sd7pWIP4mjQ I've listened to the drive...

    Fujitsubo Super Ti Exhaust

I've just ordered one from Japan. Painfully expensive. Now the waiting begins... supposedly 5-6 weeks to manufacture, plus shipping time. I'll provide feedback on drone, if any, (there better not be!) when I receive it and get it installed. I'm a completely stock '97 otherwise.

Black NSX at 11:30AM Saturday on Skyline

Thanks Annand and everyone. It was on the straight right after the Skeggs point parking area, and you were both definitely full tilt - sounded awesome - made me proud to be an owner! Although I'm somewhat disappointed to hear that it's the center exit Taitec with headers - I don't want to...

Black NSX at 11:30AM Saturday on Skyline

Continuing on my potential new exhaust quest... based upon the pictures and comments posted after the Bridgepoint meet on Saturday, I'm surmising that the three black NSXs in a row had to be 1K2GO, Solidol, and Jinks. It looks like only four black ones ended up at Alice's, so it was either the...

Black NSX at 11:30AM Saturday on Skyline

OK, so I just finished doing a mountain bike ride at Skeggs, and am sitting on the back of my 4Runner when a black Carrera GT blows by with a black NSX in hot pursuit followed by an I8. (Not to be confused with the THREE black NSXs that blew by all together in a row a few minutes later...!) All...

Ha ha that was me! I was on my way back from buying artichoke bread with my wife in Pescadero. And I did see your car, but it was too late to wave back.
