My Asian population comment was just for refrence of the worldwide market
As we all know the nsx made allot of headlines in the US and rest of the world and still gets referred to in modern car reviews
In the US the JDM following started in the 90's thus that generation of teenage dreamers...
Value will always be relative
Were talking about a relatively young legendary car with production numbers so low they compare to testarosa's 7500 production.
with this low of production eventually there will be buyers for cars in ANY condition
just like people will buy a rustbucket 356 buried...
so slow2speed in your opinion is that because he runs a vented hood a redneck gurney flap and suspension and exhaust that makes his car significantly modded? Those are about the most basic mods that the majority of this forum has made,
Allot of modifications to me, means turbos, superchargers...

thanks!
NSX has been running great, took a few months to get the turbo bugs ironed out and the carbon manifold reinforced to hold boost and track tested.
Been mostly focusing on replacing any old parts that could fail soon, for a cross country road trip I'm starting in a about a month...
Lol.. yeah it's pretty ghetto but it does work..
Btw I want to be clear, I am in no way making fun of his car or setup. I talk to Ryan via email/messaging about his suspension setup ect, and realize he's a great driver, well above the average. I only referred to his example of modifications...
i have driven track prepped caymens of a few varieties on the track, track prepped challenge Ferrari's, and 996 and 997 Cup cars on the track, and owned a track prepped 2500lbs 400whp older 911. but have never owned a caymen nor do i have any interest, and have never in my life been passed by...
Who's picking talking points, when I still never talked about a 100% stock NSX and every reference your making of my comments has been ignored that i made specific comparisons to lightly modded but stock "weight / power" and am well aware ryans NSX is not "stock"
and know that EMI built Ryan's...
I made 2 comparisons, the majority of my comments had to do with heavily modified NSX like RYU's
1: "Porsche has not invented some magic bullet in the GT4 that will outpace an NSX when modified with "COMPARABLE" tire sizes & compounds, COMPARABLE power to weight, brakes and suspension, and...
As someone already mentioned, those GT4's are weighing in on the rennlist forums closer to 3200lbs
I've noticed more and more manufactures advertising "dry weight" especially on special track oriented editions to make them appear a lot lighter than their street counterparts... therefore the...

Great Research,
I had no idea how much lighter the carbon pads are, that's amazing so around 19lbs lighter than stock for all 4 corners.!
if each corner may save about 20lbs, how do you plan on losing 200lbs unsprung weight?
if i understand you correctly
OEM pads are 21lbs total, so...
hey hows it going? :)
prym8, that alternator did not work it was not compatible because its prior to obd1, i had to get a different one.
BBVNSX, I believe the one that I has been working on my car for almost 1 year now is a 92+ civic alternator. quite a few known local nsxprime members have...

Hey Stephen, i have a custom billet light weight bracket and smaller alternator.

Plus 1 on Dewight he is right around the corner from Davie area.
I just moved down here 3 years ago from Philadelphia.
welcome to the neighborhood :)
Got some more parts weighed
Koyo radiator is 7lbs = -2.4lbs (OEM radiator is 9.4lbs)
Oem Fan is 4.4lbs (worth looking into lighter weight aftermarket)
FWIW: contrary to some rumors, VIS Type-R carbon hoods are not heavier than OEM
VIS CF typeR hood weighed 14.8lbs (OEM is 16lbs) (DF "claims"...
15-20whp from headers has been documented by many to allow a 3000lbs NA1 go from stock 13.6 sec 1/4 mile to close to 13sec 1/4 mile
its not just 15whp, some headers (taitec, lovefab, gt-one, cantrell, ect.) have been tested to make 20whp-23whp when paired with a good chip or basic tuning for...

not sure which pistons yet, but I was under the impression compatibility with FRM had already been discovered by SOS or other honda engine builders.
seams you got your self a good deal on that engine, congrats! looking forward to the build :)
Ill keep you updated on my manifold...
NA1/2-R GT
very impressive build
can u post your latest dyno?
I'm very interested in doing a similar build likely 12:1 or 12.5:1 to run e85
debating between 92mm bore on OEM cylinders (like many JDM builds) for 3111cc or darton MID sleeves with 95mm bore for 3317cc which was recommended by SOS...
