I had to re-watch the the video to orient myself...its been a while. So you referring to the "bolt to the car portion" and it being on center line vs the off-set I'm clarifying. I do the recall the stock being "centered". I don't know why they are offset. I follow you that it could effect...
Thanks and happy the bumper video has helped out. Would like to have done a Tranny video but that was beyond my motivation…

Conclusion
Conclusion: Note - this Car just hit 70k miles.
1. Mechanics Direct was excellent (pretty much dealt exclusively with Mitch). They obviously have a lot of experience with NSX's and at least from an explanation perspective, inspired confidence they could repair pretty much anything...
Whoops. You right. I confused you with Roger.
I think we met also at Camp Good Days a while back. If I recall I had to employ you after driving to Watkins Glenn a bit too spirited (allegedly). I certainly employed some one who was there...
I get confused these days...
Appreciate that feedback. Although I was feeling ok about my plans Monday it nice to get some positive comments.
It's been a long time btw, hope you're well. I saw a new Ford GT over the summer in East Hampton CT and thought of you. I don't think I've seen you since that Black Horse...
I would not have thought there were that many folks willing to crack into an NSX tranny but I realize you have significant background in car repair. Maybe in fairness to him he was referring to folks who do NSX tranny's on the regular and/or specialize in them.
I still felt very comfortable...
Hey Joe. Hope all is well. I finally did replace my front bumper that was split a little bit. My car is near perfection now (minus this transmission issue).
Per your comment:
I misspoke a bit. Allegedly according to "Honcho" (appears quite a primate) Larry used to send folks to this place...
I just got hooked up with MechanicsDirect in Lowell Mass. Admittedly that name sounded ominous to me. Felt like "PepBoys" and therefore not going near my NSX. However, I am bringing my car to them Monday. Apparently they are NSX specialists and one of 3 places in the USA who actually tear...
This was SPECTACULAR recommendation! I called a minute ago. I have total confidence after speaking to Mitch for a few minutes. I can't believe there is a NSX specialist in the area and they do the actual transmission work (not just send it out). He stated there are really only 3 places in...
Honcho: My worry is, would a certified tech even know how to handle this? There is actually a pretty good certified in Berlin Acura (his name is pronounced VEETECK which means VTEC to me....). He's alignment my car before. Problem is, first, he's at an Acura dealer so you can double the...
Yeah, a down side of living in cold climates. Less people dealing with the speciality cars (or you live in Greenwich county and have your personal assistant handle it; sadly not my situation).
Following up on this discussion. I sold my house and underestimated how hard it would be to get another one (rookie mistake in these covid times especially in CT). In any case, I'll probably be storing the Acura for a while so it seems like an opportunity to repair.
Anyone have any...
Sounds about right.... This car runs on warning lights. I will say this. I have not had any issues since this was fixed. I replaced the clutch switch and had the EWS-DME rebuilt. I still get lower power warning lights but it's never low on power. No clue. It's fun to drive being only $6k...
I hear you on the shifter resting. The only movements that affect the cables are left/right and fore/aft; down does nothing. Admittedly if you had enough pressure on the top of the stick it may deflect in any direction then making your argument sound. Always a chance, but I'm still doubtful...
Helpful, thank you. I have to look for an expert to rebuild it. If it's coming out of the car (whenever that is) I want it back to new or better. No point skimping after all that labor.
....I'm still not buying this for a linkage transmission but will work to stop this regardless since obviously no downside. Oddly I had to go into work today (been working from home since March) and its 70 which is new to those of us in New England. Point being, I drove the Acura since it was...
“BIG” I see your note also. Will certainly try to start easy but I’m already budgeting in the $10k range for the next service to account for the $120k full service and this transmission deal. I would like it to be less but like to be surprised downward not upward...

Car shifts very smooth. I consider myself being a particularly “easy shifter”. Meaning I will hammer on the car a bit as far as running out the RPM up to 7,500 but very conscious of being easy on the tranny. Never shift hard, never quickly with a lot of pressure and never dropping the clutch...
It's been a while since I've been on the forums but necessity has brought me back in...
I had noticed over the past few years that my car would periodically slipping or jumping out of gear. Wasn't even sure what gear since it was infrequent. I thought maybe I was not pushing in gear possibly...
Unfortunately, only available used or NOS (New Old Stock). Thom originally manufactured many years ago. Later Rich worked with Thom to relaunch a run which was years ago as well. As of now, I don’t think anyone has plans to sell new anytime soon. Rich had a set I installed which was NOS...
To be clear, this is to bring a lowered car back to stock camber? If so, I have to have these. Very excited about it. Assuming this is all true it appears we have another video coming... Thanks.
Those appear to be the OEM camber nuts unless I’m mistaken. Would be nice if it’s that easy (1 part) so let us know...
