Minimum tread depth - 3/32 for NSX?

Since rain happens: What I think I'm hearing is that a safer minimum tread depth is 4/32 instead of 3/32.

Minimum tread depth - 3/32 for NSX?

I had to google "Implement of Husbandry." It wasn't as naughty as I thought: V C Section 36000 Implements of Husbandry Defined Implements of Husbandry Defined...

Minimum tread depth - 3/32 for NSX?

Thanks, Adrian, This doesn't apply to implements of husbandry? Dang! So, I'm summarizing your post to say it's a legal minimum of 1/32. (Section 34500 is for heavy vehicles like buses or trucks.) That little tread seems pretty bald to me. The question, though, is what's the recommended...

Minimum tread depth - 3/32 for NSX?

Hi, folks, In general, I change the tires on my cars when the guy at the shop measures them at 3/32. Is 3/32 a reasonable minimum tread for a street-only NSX that won't ever see snow (SF Bay Area). Or are there performance/safety issues that would set a higher threshold for this car? Thanks! -A

New vehicle purchase ~ '12 Mazda 3 Hatch

And my son when he passed his driving test in 2010 - and we told him that the Mazda3 was now his car. Is that a happy kid or what? So, yeah, we recommend that model!

New vehicle purchase ~ '12 Mazda 3 Hatch

Here are the brand-new Mazda3 and TSX in 2006. We also bought a Miata that year. Three new cars in one year - what we were thinking????

On the 2006 TSX - yes. The built-in Bluetooth speakerphone is excellent on that car. On the 2006 Mazda3 - well, Mazda didn't offer Bluetooth in that model in 2006.

New vehicle purchase ~ '12 Mazda 3 Hatch

My wife's 2006 TSX is much quieter and more luxorious than the 2006 Mazda3, even with its Grand Touring trim. But it was more expensive too. Totally different car class.

That's why we bought the standard 2.3L Mazda 3, not the Mazdaspeed - didn't want the soon-to-be-driving teenager getting into trouble with too much car.

New vehicle purchase ~ '12 Mazda 3 Hatch

My son drives a 2006 Mazda 3 hatchback - we bought it new, he learned to drive on it, and he uses it every day. He loves it. It's a great little car, very solid and peppy. Even though it goes off its 6-year extended warranty this summer, we're going to keep it - it hasn't given us a minute's...

tinting the front windshield with 35%..not the smartest

I saw a blacked-out BMW in Menlo Park (CA) over the weekend that had a tinted front windshield, as well driver and passenger windows - all the glass. The guy went whole hog - black wheels, not a bit of chrome, even had a black-and-silver BMW roundel.

Converted to LED brake light bulbs, very happy

Odd. Since I never use cruise control (in fact, haven't never even tried it on the NSX, it's just not my thing), I have no idea if grounding that wire disabled it on mine. If I think of it, maybe I'll test it next time I'm on the highway!

Pardon my ignorance, but I've never driven on a track. Why do some of the cars have their lights covered with what appears to be blue painter's tape?

(Laughing) My son drives his car with the yellow fog lights on all the time - he thinks it's cool. He'd probably drive the NSX with the headlights up.

Converted to LED brake light bulbs, very happy

Exactly. I have a big box of blue clips that I bought at least a decade ago - probably from JC Whitney - which work on a lot of automotive wiring. I also have red clips, which are for smaller-gauge wire. You can get them at your favorite auto parts store, or maybe at Radio Shack. I didn't cut...

Pictures! The blue wire is the ground that I added. I used a round lug and a nut to ground to the chassis. It connects to the white/green wire on the passenger side tail light assembly.
