Will all of the cars with 00000 VINs be destroyed.

That's usually the fate of pre-production cars, yes. I think the companies are legally obligated to do so.

McDork’s 1998 Coupe JH4NA2131WT000070 listed as “Zanardi Prototype” in the wiki

Why not go 100% OEM stock for the restoration on such a special NSX? Not being facetious, genuinely curious what the goal is. Great project nonetheless.

Drove the New NSX in Carmel

I've driven a 991 GT3. That's a more raw car than this is, and most likely a better experience on a track. However, the NSX has more going on at legal road speeds and felt more "special" than the GT3 does around town due to all of the electric & turbo tech that can be enjoyed at low speed in...

Drove the New NSX in Carmel

To clarify, I'm saying the original NSX has no storage under the front hood, and neither does this one. The rear trunk on the new car is much smaller than the original NSX trunk as well, based on looks alone. Pretty disappointing for an everyday supercar, it would be a bit tough to do a vacation...

Drove the New NSX in Carmel

Ha! Yes, my dad is definitely an Italian car guy, I think I have started to convince him on the Japanese stuff though. - - - Updated - - - No problem!

Drove the New NSX in Carmel

Keep in mind my drive was about 10 minutes long and on a straight road, so I can't really speak on handling characteristics. I should also note that the Acura guy was talking typical marketing speak the entire drive, so it was hard to really focus on the car too much. I read in one of the...

Drove the New NSX in Carmel

I drove the new NSX during Car Week in Carmel, here are my impressions from the short drive: - Throttle response is incredibly sharp, you hear the turbos building and releasing boost quite loudly but never have a sense of lag. This is the result of the electric motors doing their thing, I'm...

    My New '91

Didn't see this before, yes, I have a dealer license so I buy/sell somewhat quickly. The car is already sold now, to a collector in TN (will be his 2nd NSX among 10+ other cars). I have an S2000 personally and my goal is to have a Brooklands Green coupe for myself at some point soon, once I can...

So what about the rumored Baby NSX?

This thing looks, dare I say, even more exotic than the new NSX. If that shape makes it to production, I'm a buyer.

Good to see the younger guys into these cars, I'm 23 myself. Supra & NSX is a great combination.

    My New '91

Yes, I changed the "problem" oil cooler coolant hoses on my previous 2002 NSX-T as a preventative measure. It's definitely a no-brainer if you're doing the TB, although this car had TB/WP done in 2012 so I'm fine there. I'll double-check the hoses were done too at that time.

    My New '91

Great info. The rubber on this car does look fantastic, although I think it also has a lot to do with how the car has been stored and if it has been semi-regularly exercised. - - - Updated - - - Me neither! I'll post up all the interesting books, records, magazines, etc. that came with the...

Yes, I'm well aware of the NSX maintenance, I had a 2002 recently as well. Most of your list is already done on this car. Thanks!

NSX Market Watch & Price Guide

There are a few threads on here that have broached this topic, but with the NSX now being a 25+ year-old car (!), I think it's time to take their value as collector-cars seriously. This thread can serve as a place to talk about NSX's for sale, and can also serve as a place for owners to share...

    Are 02+ NSX's $100K Cars?

We recently sold our car after two weeks online, so I can speak to where the 02+ market is actually at... Most of the $100k+ NSX's you mention have been sitting on the market for multiple months. 100% stock examples in rare colors like the one sold above may command $100k plus, but only after...
