I bought them about 6 months ago.

I bought one last November and ordered a brand new oem console. Tempted to bail on the setup as these old units can burn up the car without warning.

i just went through this last week and it was a bigger pain in the ass than I anticipate. It all came out great and very happy with the new look. But was definitely nervous about destroying the face plate while breaking the bonded areas free.

Does a rebuild require 2 sets of these 2nd gear synchros as the parts diagram shows? Just ordered everything from amayama and 23646-pr8-020 is on back order for 1-2 months….. literally the last parts I need for the short gear upgrade project.
