    shelf life of touch-up paint

The only issue I've had is it may thicken up a bit after a long time. A drop or two of lacquer thinner fixes that. I have some Porsche touchup from 2000 that still works fine.

    OEM Seat Belt rebuilding?

Thanks Guys! I had no idea about the warranty possibility, will research that. I've found any number of "remanufactures" but many of them only do post-'95 ( I assume with the firing-type pretensions?) and the ones who do earlier cars are primarily American vehicles only. I did find Seat Belt...

    OEM Seat Belt rebuilding?

My seat belt retractors are worn out and the webbing could stand to be replaced. Can anyone recommend a rebuilding/restoring service for this? OEM replacements are pretty pricey.

Nice plates, man! For us you'll be easy to spot, but people will still ask you, "What kind of car is that?" HA!

Nice, Don! Never heard of it and will have to do some research! I just returned from a lovely 2 hour drive through the central Illinois countryside to look at a project. Took the X, took the backroads and had a blast. Pretty sure this was the only NSX in Carlinville, IL :-> But it's running...

    Steering wheel nut size?

Getting ready to swap out the steering wheel, and the car is in a different location from my big toolbox. Anyone know the size of the steering column nut? Trying t minimize running back and forth for tools. And yes, I searched first. Thanks!

Very sorry to hear, Tyler. I lost my mom that way when I was 26, my dad the next year. I wish you and your family well in dealing with this. Looking forward to seeing you and our other NSX pals soon!

Hey guys! Don, I enjoy your updates, thanks! Tyler, I hope your dad is recovering well, both from the assault and from his treatment. Best wishes to you and your family. Rahul, two things - Can you lead me to the source for your shift knob? You may have given me this already but I can't find...

Custom built OEM-style NSX replacement stereo

Full agreement with all your comments Doug. In the end, there is no other way to get a permanent fix and retain the OEM appearance.

Custom built OEM-style NSX replacement stereo

The retrofit is really well done, and the stereo looks great and sounds great. The only thing I don't care for are the controls, to the point that I don't use it much once I'm driving. The "joystick" knob is touchy, and there's a difference between long pushes and short pushes, and I find the...

    7,800rpm rev limit?

I had a similar situation during the first couple of winters I had my X. After 10-15 miles of driving the temperature gauge would register in the middle, but the rev limiter would kick in at lower RPMs than it was supposed to. I found that if I kept driving that symptom would eventually go away...

Nice, Don! Do you know who owns the other red one? Rahul, how's the engine rebuild going? Tyler, happy to hear your dad is doing better, and we wish him well with the rest of his recovery! Best wishes to all of your family as you continue to deal with this.

    Hold my hand...

Excellent, thanks! Just the look I want. I'm holding off on this expenditure until I see how the election affects the business atmosphere; holding on to cash for now. But when I pull the trigger I know what I'll be ordering. Thanks guys!

    Hold my hand...

Got it, completely understand. The rim width range for the 255s is 8.5 - 10". For the 265s it's 9 - 10.5". So in either case, 255s on 10" or 265s on 10.5", you're at the limit which I guess is why Tire Rack is still OK with the fitment. But the ideal is to be in the middle of the range, which...

    Hold my hand...

Correction, my suspension units are actually from a low-mileage '99 base NSX. But this is the spring/shock rate chart I referenced, and it shows slightly stiffer spring rates and compression/rebound rates for the later units. Also the Swift Sport springs (2nd chart) only lower the rear by .6"...

    Hold my hand...

Wow, that looks damn near perfect, very convincing :-> Looks like I could go with this combination and still be able to use the Swift springs. Really appreciate the input Adrian!

    Hold my hand...

Thanks Adrian. I have a spring rate and compression/rebound rate chart for the various years on an other computer, and that says that the later OEM units ar slightly stiffer on both fronts. I'll post that tomorrow. But the advice on the rear width will be considered - thanks!
