PS: Forgot one thing. Pull the pressure relief plug on the accumulator, and if there's brake fluid on that side of the diaphragm, it's shot.

If you had almost no pressure when you relieved the system, it's almost certainly a bad accumulator. Too late to check now, but when it was assembled you could have jumped the pump relay...

They are NLA and out of stock everywhere, as far as I can tell.

Mine is #677 that year and had a snap ring failure. But lucky me, the PO put an SOS rebuilt in it right before I bought it.

Marc, does this seat belt fit both sides? And do these work with the original NA1 buckle? I was just about to send the OEM part numbers to see if you could get them.

Old thread, I know, but... I just did this while I was flushing/bleeding the brakes and clutch as maintenance issues. If you also do this while bleeding the systems, you can easily access the plug for each pedal while the pedal is depressed to the floor. My clutch plug was gone, but it was...

The dealer that did the slave cylinder wrapped some teflon tape on the bleeder threads. It must have moved the last time it was tightened because the bleed holes were blocked. Simple fix and the system bled perfectly after that.

LOL! Yeah, I was thinking that's next. But I thought maybe there was some issue with the damper in the system, and it had to be done differently. Thanks Larry!

I setup to change the clutch fluid using the gravity method. Emptied and cleaned the reservoir and refilled with fresh fluid. I put a hose on the bleeder and cracked it open... and nothing. I've bled other hydraulic clutches this way and it always works fine, just let it drain and keep refilling...

That's exactly what we're doing. The risk is the hose popping off at the nipple. Eye and paint protection required. It works fine, but the purpose of the T-wrench is in accurately measuring the output with the cup at the top.

It's still on jack stands waiting for more work, but I'll let you know for sure! The ABS was actualy working before this, but the pump ran a lot, and would start running immediately whenever the ABS was activated.
