If a "full PPI" is done without issue, why do a leakdown test?

I take my car to Don only. Last time I was there he was doing some sort of window/tracking fix it. Having watched Hugabuga do mine last year, it did not look too hard, I just chose to have Hugo do it. As for price, Don is certainly not cheap, but you get what you pay for and I'm very very happy...

8 years of sitting...yikes!! Unless the original owner religiously brought the car up to operating temperature and then drove it half a mile every month would help.

If you go to Napa, suggest going to Franks Family and Cakebread wineries. Napa wine tasting is best done as an overnighter as driving back to SF is not recommended if doing wine tasting. Have fun. siD

Your purchase seems to me to be quite a buy...assuming the damage was properly repaired. Should you come to sell in the future, you may have a limited buyer market due to the salvage title...but may be able to get close to what you paid. In the mean time, enjoy the car. siD

Couple of thoughts for you: 1. Could ask the seller for their home address. Ask the person buying the car on the sellers behalf to provide copies of the seller drivers license and credit card/debit card, AND, a copy of their most recent electric/gas bill. 2. Is the seller willing to transfer...

This is probably one of the better thread reads for me. Nice when you have the capability and connections to work on your car. Make your car for you. As for the wheels, if you love 'em, good for you but for me they scream at me and detract from the lines of the car. Just me mate, but $hit it now...

Bengl, my view is to go look at one, touch, feel, drive and then have a "come to grips with yourself moment" and ask is this a must have car that I can enjoy for however long. If the answer is yes, then decide on year and color. Go to a local NSX meet, some may let you drive theirs, most will...

If your changing the TB/WP and other belts, fluids etc, and, those tires....you maybe in the $56-7K range, closer to his price:wink::wink: If your happy with the car and the price you paid, then good for you, enjoy.

An AT can still be up/down shifted to keep the engine revs higher and give you that race feeling. Certainly a difference from a 5 speed. I up/down shift in my Grand National when I want to step on it. So I'm not sure in the end an AT will curtail you "race" moments. As for driving in congested...

Re: I think my recent NSX purchase became mor eexpensive... (pics+video inside) Does the dealer have some kind of "satisfaction Guaranteed" policy, many do. They say "sold as is" but then have the generic Satisfaction guarantee displayed in the window....an attorney may be advised here....
