Sorry about getting so off-topic...it's just I have spent soooooo much time in weathering analysis in my previous R&D experience that I went into geek mode
Good to see pics of hat for comparison. You will find man made polymer fibers on clothing labels from time to time. Acrylic does...
Don't know if this is helpful, but i'm very familiar with weathering testing and recipe experimentation with polymers.
I worked in the plastics industry for just over a decade, and based upon your observations I agree the issue is UV damage. I was in acrylic sheeting, but if there is some type...
Among other things, I'm having the SOS console (stereo & ashtray delete) being fitted to my car this month. If you want, I can take pics of it once everything is complete.
Ok, i'll chime in with the following:
1. Not owning my own personal private garage. I share an indoor facility at my condo, and therefore constantly worry about nosy neighbors, dings and lack of "wrenching space"
2. Not meeting Barnman until AFTER buying my NSX
3. Taking it to my first DE...
Interesting. I have had a LinkedIn profile(incomplete) for a while, but this offers some inspiration to explore the possibilities. Thanks for the heads-up.

Dammaat, I go back to the states for the summer, and now it's a party in SH!
Well, I look forward to seeing you guys, keeping you posted of my schedule.
Yes. I have already seen this page. Neither one of those diagrams had what I needed. Therefore, I wasn't clear enough in the post.
Since then, I've identified the part:
73250-SL0-003 MOLDING ASSY., TAILGATE
This whole issue fooled me because it was included in the diagram titled: System Name...
Checked online at Delray, could only find this:
73600-SL0-305 MOLDING SET, GLASS PARTITION (CLEAR) (ASAHI), $711.47 !
Wow, anyone know where I can find the molding by itself, if available??
Thanks,
Chris
Sweet!
Where in China are you located? I am in the Zhouzhuang suburbs of Suzhou, where we are building our new headquarters and tech facility. Basically in between the city centers of Shanghai and Suzhou.
.... I just think that after going down this slippery slope that I was trying to make the car better and not the driver.
That's some of the best wisdom on this forum.
And after getting bit by the HPDE bug, I simply cannot imagine driving 100% of the stock NSX(suspension-wise) abilities!
On another note, are there HPDEs at the Shanghai track? Isn't Shanghai host to the largest Porsche Club? I am curious because I just did a PCA driver's ed weekend event in the NSX and had the greatest time of my life!
This same thing has happened to me recently. At first, I noticed my LED lights were not working when the brake light indicator first came on. My plug to the LED lights was loose(probably from opening and closing trunk so much). I secured the connection, lights worked fine & thought the issue was...
Better yet...sportscar gals!
I was suprised at how many Porsche cars(mostly the suv's) that I encountered while in Suzhou. Shanghai had more variety...but still, I have never encountered an NSX in person anywhere in China, or even Japan for that matter:mad:
I know they're out there somewhere!
Hate to jump into this thread so late, but I may be relocating to Suzhou at the end of this year or beginning of 2010 for work. I will be DYING for some car folks to meet - Suzhou or Shanghai.
Anyone hit me up - anytime!
I'm in the same boat here. Looking to buy both exhaust and header at same time in the next 2 weeks, but trying to decide on the best combo for my taste and budget. Leaning on both Taitec headers and the GTLW setup. Further recommendations anyone?
Hey fellow NSX fans,
I will be in HK this Saturday night(20th) and heading on to Suzhou via Shanghai the following monday(22). Plan to spend most of my time at Suzhou Univ for some business with a side trip to Shanghai for a few days the week after X-mas. If anyone wants to meet up for drinks...
