Couldn't figure out how to attach photos from an IPad, so PM me if interested and I'll forward...
I purchased nsx parts from ITRANDRE and not only did they meet my expectations, they exceeded them. He kept in great contact and sent the parts out 2nd day air at his expense. He sent me tracking info right away and I have since purchase additional parts from him and would again in a minute!
Larry, thanks for the suggestion. I'll try it for "shits & giggles",however, it will run fine when fully warmed up, half an hour of driving, it is not until it is shut off and sits a little bit and there seems to be some heat soak to the heads & intake.(you'd burn your hand touching the...
When the engine is cold it starts fine and runs fine & wideband reads 14.7 at steady state and high 12's under acceleration. After it is up to operating temp if I shut the car off & restart it, it starts fine but then while driving it misses and will not accelerate over say 30mph. The O2 reads...
Just curious what radiator guys are running with 550+HP turbo'd cars. Specifically ones that see both street and track usage. And what target water temps. are you trying to maintain.
Also how did a front mounted heat exchanger affect that decision.
And does anyone have any experience with Evans...
Just to clarify, I do have Oliver rods. My recollection is that it was around $600-$700 more for the rebalance. This included the tungsten which was about $200. I'm not sure how to attach a photo from an IPad. Otherwise, it would be clear. The machinist had to drill about 1" holes in the crank...
To rebalance the rotating assembly, my machinist added tungsten to the crank.
The resulting balance was much better than from the factory. You can rev the engine to 8000 RPM's and the engine does not rock a fraction of an inch. You can literally set a glass on the intake and it doesn't move...
Chris,
Your E85 octane figures seem off. Please review the following and see what you think. My understanding is E85 is always rated at a minimum of 105:
129 RON + 116 MON / 2 = 122.5 Pump rating for pure ethanol alcohol
122.5 r+m/2 @ 85% + 87 r+m/2 @ 15% (or 8.5 gallons to 1.5 gallons) would...

I had to order a custom thickness gasket set because of machiining done on the heads and...
9 JE 95mm forged pistons for sale. 6 lightly used & machined for low compression build. 3 Unused and high compression. Included is a new set of 6 rings. Piston custom order info provided. JE requires a minimum purchase of 4 pistons, so you could still save money ordering them and end up with 7...
Priced for quick sale. Set of factory titanium rods with ARP 2000 bolts with the small end machined and brass bushings with oiling holes installed for full floating pistons. $600 plus shipping. It would cost at least this much to have the machining done and the rod bolts installed on your rods...
Does anyone here on Prime have a Timeseert 11mm Headbolt kit that they would be willing to rent? I hate to have to outlay $400 for something I would only use once. OK well I guess $32 of that $400 is for 10 inserts. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Todd
A question for any engine builders out there. While in the process of tracking down some ring seating and oil consumption issues, I along with my machinist came to the conclusion that the original boring of my 95mm Darton sleeved block was not done with a torque plate installed to simulate the...
Re: Follow up on Tamoske parts to be raffled out by 'ANYTIME'
I know even after a 2 year delay, at this point I would still prefer getting what I ordered rather than being put into a "Chance Raffle". So if there is a chance of that, again for the record I ordered: door inserts and a full delete...
I have a question for those with extensive experience in building forced induction NSX engines. Are most builders sticking to the factory recommended tolerences for both the rod bearings and main bearings? Or are any going one step looser because of the additional heat and loads being generated...
I think Docjohn's suggestion seems fair. I think those of us who were in on both group buys would be happy having at least one of the items. I had long since written this of as another "what-not-to-do" life experiences. A chance at getting something is still more than I hoped for at this point!
I was one of the original group buy members for both the center console and door inserts. I commend you for amazing work after all this time! With over $800 out of pocket and nothing to show for it, what will be the proceedure in trying to stake claim to at least something?
Thanks, Todd
Looking for a liitle advice on why there is a black greasy residue in the throttle body on the intake manifold side of the throttle plate. let me add the following info: Crankcase gasses are vented to the atmosphere. The engine was built for turbo but is running N/A at the moment. Heads are...
Different fuel pump manufacturers seem to use different formulas in determining fuel pump requirements in turbocharged applications. I am aware that there is additional cylinder pressure that must be overcome by the fuelpump using a 1:1 fuel pressure regulator along with the extra volume needed...
