Can you name these 3 independent nsx shops in the Seattle area? All I know is Zahntech in Redmond and Lynnwood acura which is a dealer but they will do mods for you.
I am a member of the public when the NSX came out, and my thought was, shit, I would never be able to buy it. I was driving a 1978 280Z at the time that I bought for a couple thousand dollars. That car was a blast though.
Rob just posted on YouTube that somebody just offered to buy his NSX at a very fair market price, more than what he bought for it but he is not so sure about selling.
You live in SoCal and if you go with a turbo NSX, that means every two years, you will have to convert it back to stock to pass smog/inspection. It can be a hassle.
I think it depends on the mileage. If the mileage is low, the ctsc package might have helped the price or at best, the buyer did not care as long as the car is in pristine condition.
Acura of Lynwood or Zanntech in Redmond . Since it is a big job, it won't be done in a day. you will have to leave your car there for at least a week or even more, so IMO, distance should not be a great concern as long as you know your car is in good hands? Not gonna be cheap though.
The Acura dealership where I serviced my car just asked me if I want to sell my car, and I said, no way Jose!! I probably make some profit if I sell it.
Acura of lynnwood can install most (not all) aftermarket stuffs for your nsx. If you decide to use them, ask to have either Jon Lai or Kerry Prey to work on your car when making appointment. Unusual for a dealership to install aftermarket stuffs that's not Acura parts but they do.
