Don't buy anything until you've ridden and compared several 'same type" bikes from different manufacturers. I test rode all the cruisers and the Harley V-Rod (2007> have a 240 rear - widest Harley has if you like a fat rear tire) blew me away (Victory Hammer was my second choice). I come from...
Us retired guys are always up for a coffee meet. Joe if you want to send out invites maybe we could talk donk into bringing fritters (heard that one before?).
Maybe if you went to a human hospital, instead of that animal hospital, they could get your back straight .
FYI - Don't know if it's been posted, but Flyeyes (Joe) wrecked his Nissan Cube a couple of weeks ago. Total loss on the Cube and he got banged up but feelin better now.

Sporadic speedo is usually caused by the engine speed sensor (sometimes referred to as the vehicle speed sensor) which is located on the tranny. I didn't know the WSS had anything to do with the speedo??? I agree, the ECU codes should be pulled.
1999 is OBDII.
A TCS and CEL at the same time suggest a bad WSS (wheel speed sensor). Do a search on WSS and you'll see this is not unusual for these cars. The usual culprit is in the rear. Good Luck!

If you put springs from a Targa on a coupe ( both with OEM dampers) it will raise the car about 3/4 of an inch from OEM stock heigth (the ride will not change that much). If you are still using the stock 1991 dampers you need to get rid of them - they are way past their useful life.
Have you pulled the error codes off the ECM? There are no specific "misfire" codes on a NA1 ECM, but there might be a stored code to lead you in the right direction. Many parts, bad gas/flow or a tune issue could cause your problem.
Jack the wheels up and turn them. Do you feel resistance from the brakes (you shouldn't)? The noise you hear, is it coming from the brakes for sure and can you describe the sound?
