A "strong" IMO warning - the US is/was heading for a major financial crisis anyway and we certainly need to make at least "some" steel/alum/pharma here. But we certainly could be screwed specifically on the very few "old" parts out there that get lumped in with the new parts - that HS schedule...
Thanks Nitin - maybe my Acura has a V-dub engine in it he-he. Time to drive the NSX for a bit so i'm in one of those - let it sit for awhile and maybe it will fix itself he-he!
So are these tariffs on parts really in place already? I've been paying a lot more than $20 for tiny parts for some time from Japan to the US. Off course we all are hoping for no tariffs. I'm thinking just the paperwork it takes even before the tariffs might be something they just don't want...
Got this error code after working on my 2009 RDX – started up –gave me EMMSISION CHECK in the large display field right away and then died after about 10 seconds. My old Actron OBD-II code reader did not give me a number, but the following:
CAM POS SENSOR
A CKT
Rng
Perform Bnk 1
The first...
Ditton OE "smooth as butta". Not to pile on, but keeping the clutch down at a light is a habit to consider breaking for so many reasons. Worn out throw-out bearings "can"wreck clutches/bellhousings/trannys in a heartbeat - although they usually howl for a very long time giving you warning...
Honcho covered you of course on the clutch - clutch dragging issue, but i would keep hitting that mechanic (or better yet find another?) as a change after parts are replaced is likely to be in the install or the parts. Many of us have done the hydraulics - it works fine and then a week or so...
Eek -rubberized finish? Over engineering alert! Why? Our fingers are so weak now - we need help with operating switches now? Of course Honda ergonomics set a standard of which we love them for, but like so many things can get out of control IMO
I tried to find an actual 22mm oxygen sensor socket awhile back and ordered what i thought was a dedicated 22mm one and it came as 7/8"/22mm which is exactly the same as the 7/8" i've been using for decades. Theoretically a 22mm would be about .020 tighter which would be nice, but the 7/8"...
Acurapartswarehouse where i think most of us look up parts no's has done well for me at 30% off although it can take up to a couple of weeks. My local dealer Acura Columbus will match that and have it do you in a few days - i'm sure there are many US dealers doing this - but you have to ask for...
I once saw a flatbed type tow driver back up to a camaro, jacked up one side at a time and put a couple layers of really long like 7 mil plastic sheeting under the rear wheels and then used his winch to pull the car onto the bed. Made me cringe, but it did work. The nsx is easy to unlock with...
