I love the kit, it looks nice, but I think it could do better without the rear spoiler, OEM might have looked cleaner..... Nice NSX!

Honestly, you have to see that spoiler in person. The craftsmanship is second to none, and the weave of the fiber is perfect throughout. The spoiler does not work well with other kits as much as the DuLuck, but it is a work of art none the less.

Dont forget those side mirrors too. They're cute and tiny and if I'm not mistaken they are also motorized. My friend has the spoiler and the mirrors on his car. The spoilers are unique.

I'm yet to see any body kit that improves the lines of the stock NSX. And I've seen a lot that really ruin them. But that's my opinion.

Me too. I just don't see the logic in paying a bunch of $$ to add weight to the car and make it less attractive than original (I think 90% of widebody NSXs fit this description, sorry)...especially when people doing so often respray and otherwise mess up an otherwise nice NSX.

I didn't vote in this poll: No stock option that didn't include lowering (I'm not a fan of that either). Wheels can be nice, but man, some can be exceptionally ugly too - like three spoke wheels or large wheels like 19" with ultra-low-profile tires (both uglier than stock 1991-1993 wheels, IMO).

Cosmetically modifying an NSX (or almost any car, for that matter) seems like a waste of effort/$$. Why dump $10k into a Civic or Accord - just buy an NSX. Why add to an NSX, which is beautiful by design, something the designers did not want (design was specifically meant to part ways with the wide-body, high-tail, scoop-cluttered design of exotics of the day - which I understand the designers saw as an unfortunate result of or throwback to gimics of the muscle car era). Same thing I guess, different generation.

But, as others have said...to each his/her own...whatever floats your boat.

I've had my WW Body Kit UN-PAINTED and sitting in the garage since last year...Today I decided to Sell the kit and keep the car's BODY, STOCK on the OUTSIDE, but DONE UP in the INSIDE...

I will however Lower her a tiny bit and put some shoes VERY soon.

Mike

I love both well stock body with a few bits and pieces but after having the widebody it'd be hard to go back.

but even going widebody there are some kits that dont flow well and are just well too wide :)

Actually my widebody weighs probably a little less than stock. Body panels may be a few ounces heavier, but the nsx-r hood is lighter than my stock hood. Overall i don't track my car so weight doesn't bother me. I've cut the spare put on tein flex coilovers and upgraded the exhaust, dropped maybe close to 60lbs. the original suspension and stock exhaust was by far the biggest weight savings. But i don't notice by the seat of your pants wise.

after owning a car with a body kit, ive decided I probably wont ever do it again. I do enjoy the looks from people, and the crowds of kids that often swarm my car. (Little kids make me laugh).

If you wanna get a kit, you could always be real original and build your own. This takes a little more thought, but can be very inexpensive.

Im sure a few of you will say HAHHA thats rediculous, but to you I say:

widebodies are pretty sweet. cept for the circled portion of the picture...... that looks like garbage.

the second vent in the sideskirts is awesome though. i wouldn't buy the whole kit, i'd just get the sides.... i think that does make the nsx look better (the only part of most kits that do).....

that large swoosh on the rear fenders of a widebody looks kinda funny, especially from directly behind.... i don't know why they made it stick out like that. they should've just molded it closer to the stock curve (ie, no cliff on the quarter panel)... but i guess it still looks pretty sweet overall.

i think you guys are insane for lowering your cars  it looks awesome, don't get me wrong.... but i'd be so afraid of scraping.... the thing is already on the ground.

Our widebody (Cantrell JGTC CFRP/epoxy) saves/reduces weight on the NSX, actually around 30 pounds as reported on the ScienceofSpeed website. As for the appearance, each to their own. I love the stock look (other than ride height and wheels), but enjoy our widebody even more.

Lowering just for the sake of it I can understand not being a fan of, but there are many options available that lower the car and also improve handling too. Adding the NSX-R suspension or coilovers makes a huge difference and can eliminate a ton of body roll that unfortunately is present in the NSX in stock form. I agree that some of the HUGE tires that people put on their NSX can be a bit excessive IMO (unless they are looking for a show car only), but again larger tires can also serve a purpose when setting up a car to handle well.

I definitely disagree with this statement. Modifying a car, whether it be a Civic or Lamborghini, personalizes a car for the individual and often indicates great pride in their chosen vehicle. I don't necessarily like all modifications personally, but I wouldn't classify cosmetic modifications as a waste of money or effort. Most of our modifications, even visibly cosmetic, are also aimed at improving performance to some degree as well.

What side skirts are these? Any other pics of this car, front if not stock?

Can someone chime in whether this may be true with alllll widebody or just Socery version I. Ty, Seth, or anyone else?

Calvin, I only agree with comment #1

For comment #2: I hardly ever drive my car so I haven't noticed any problems. All you have to do is make sure your tires are aligned.
For comment #3: I've never had to deal with that situation so I can't speak for that.
For comment #4: I ALWAYS park away from everyone so parking isn't an issue
For comment #5: Again, no notice of any issue here. Maybe it depends on the height of the car or something
For comment #6: I pray that I don't get in that situation..I might inquire soon just in case.

One thing that wasn't mentioned is that the front lip scrapes a lot  From the tip of the carbon fiber lip to the base of the front tire is approx. 31". Go measure it on your NSX to see what I'm talking about. That means standby to have a lot of scraping going on if you like your car low. Its too low for some speed bumps. When going to stores and other various places, I have to decide which one is the best entrance to go in so I can minimize the scraping  And I still have to come in at a very wide angle...

1. Too much unwanted attention.
2. Cost of 18 and 19 tires.
3. Going through narrow road is a nightmare.
4. Parking could sometime be a little a problem due to the width of the car.
5. The car became unstable at speed beyond 200km/hr. Mine was with Tein RA lowered to max. Maybe the bodykit was not tested in the wind tunnel for its aerodynamic.
6. Here if you mod your car too much sometimes the insurance company won't cover the car incase of accident.

Really? Including this one and this one?

I think the stock NSX is pretty close to perfect already, but if I had to pick a body style that took it to the next level it would be either one of these.

Honestly yeah. I think both of those body kits are "RICEY" looking. The NSX is a pretty exotic, well built car to be tossing these body kits on like so many Civics and Integras. I saw that "Science of Speed" NSX at the Cavalcade of Customs in Cincinnati. And while at the time I was DROOLING for an NSX, it's just too much.

The only complain is the lack of "flush" side skirt and rear valence on a stock 91... mine is 91. That's why I had a little lip in front and 02 valence... and still patiently waiting for someone throwing their 02 side skirts out... I like OEM styling too, just after seeing the 02 in showroom... everytime before I step into my car, I was looking at the side skirt and part of front tires showing, and that, still one of the biggest eye sore for me...

Here's my WW kit'd '95. I think its one of the nicest body kits, since the NSX's stock body is tough to improve, and considering I'm more of a fan of performance than looks.

I like the wings west for the 91-01s. Now when I get my 02+ I will not touch it. I love them stock. I would only put wheels and a suspension kit on it. Hopefully it will be in a couple of months.

Bangbang...what kind of wheels and setup do you have on your car? They are HOT HOT HOT. I think I want them

Supercharged it instead. :)

Stock NSX look awesome. Buy some aftermarket wheels would change the whole look of that sexy NSX of yours. My 2. :)
