Henry Ford's first vehicle assembly plant was/is in the 400 block of Piquette Avenue just north of downtown Detroit, Michigan. It was located here due to the railroad "hubs" virtually in the assembly plant's back yard. Yesterday I attended a banquet there, followed by a guided tour. Many Model T's are on display, as well as re-creations of Henry Ford's factory office and design room. I took photos and a few are attached. Imagine my surprise when I observed an early production (2004 model) Ford GT there! (Could not get photos to line up in order - sorry!)
