NSXCarpet.com NSX-R Type Red Carpet Kit Installation Pictures from Today in San Diego

I want to thank Bruce for bringing his car to us today to install his new NSX-R Type carpet in Red in his very cool 91 NSX that was used in the Fast and Furious 5 movie!!

As our kits are installed by members around the world almost weekly, we rarely get to do a carpet installation ourselves and get to capture photos of the installation. So we wanted to post photos of a fresh installation and show NSX owners how simple and cool and installation of the kit looks like.

I want to thank my dear friend Paul and owner at Street Noyz in San Diego for the assist with the installation.

Here are some highlights of the installation:

I recently bought the NSX-R style carpet and matching mats from Tom. While I haven't installed the carpet yet, the floor mats are top notch quality. The loop carpet is very unique and cool looking. My NSX-R aluminum carpet emblem will look great attached to it. This is probably as close as you're going to get to having NSX-R floor mats in a LHD NSX.

Hmm tempting!

On the back of this carpet, is that the OEM rubber mat thickness or is that a custom size? Thanks in advance.

That photo is of the center console and the molded carpet we supply for that part has no rubber backing. The carpet that goes on the floor part is molded with a thicker then OE rubber for a better heat barrier and for better noise control. Our rubber backing is a much higher quality then OE.

You can kind of see the rubber backing in the left of this photo.
