ScienceofSpeed purchased this 1998 Acura NSX-T from a customer as a time & cost study for our newly released Refresh Program. The vehicle sustained minor damage when it hydroplaned and spun in to a fence. The front bumper, hood, fender, A/C condenser, wheel, and one side skirt were damaged - in addition, the engine was overspun which damaged valves and bearings. Despite being relatively minor damage, the insurance company did not order an inspection and instead wrote the car off (it has a salvage / restored title).
As part of the ScienceofSpeed Refresh Program, our goal was to return this NSX to excellent cosmetic and mechanical condition. The bumper, hood, fender, and side skirt was replaced. Since one wheel was damaged, we replaced all four with factory wheels from a 2004 NSX. The entire NSX was refinished preserving all seals and gaskets (no longer available from the factory). The engine was removed, and a complete refresh was performed including replacing the crankshaft, connecting rods, all bearings, seals, gaskets, timing belt, water pump, and clutch. This NSX is 100% up to date on all service, and is ready to drive today. It looks and performs like a low mileage NSX. A one year limited powertrain warranty provided by ScienceofSpeed is included from the date of sale.
