Floor Mat Anchor

I got new OE floor mats and the anchor hole is on the left side (vs. the right side on my old OE mats).

I can remove the anchor to the other side by unscrewing the one screw that's holding it in place. However, I can't seem to pop out the yellow plug that the screw screws into. I need this plug to plug into the other hole, so that the screw can retain the anchor.

Does anybody know the part number for the yellow plug?

Pictures attached. Thanks!

Looks like you took a plastic pry tool, it would probably pop out. Worst case, flat head screw driver!

Just in case anybody else runs into this problem in the future.

I had Tim @ OEM Acura Parts look into getting the part, and he searched and searched, and even got in touch with Honda (or Acura) HQ. The part came as a set with the yellow grommet, screw, and black anchor. There was never any part number, but it might have been included with floor mats. It's no longer available.

But! I PM'd shawn110975 on here, as I figured he would know where to get one. He had a set, and offered to send it to me, for FREE. This is a guy I've never met nor conversed with before. What a great guy. Just got it, and installed it.

Thanks, Shawn!

The yellow insert may actually come with the floor mat anchor, part #83605-SL0-A00. Although it does not seem to be shown on the parts system.

Otherwise you most certainly could get a generic one from www,clipsandfasteners.com if you were stuck.

The OEM one used to be blue but the parts manufacture changed the colour to yellow for some reason.

It’s 90662-SB2-003.
It’s the same one used behind the door handle.

If the screw hole on your existing yellow plug/grommet is not damaged too far, you can remove it by simply inserting the screw just one or two threads only and pull it carefully.
If you insert the screw any further, the plug/grommet will wedge itself into the square hole in the chassis panel making it impossible to pull it out.

Do you need to cover that hole after you removed the yellow grommet?
