Instead of crowding our LED DRL thread with headlight modifications we felt it was best to separate this work away since there is so much information that deserves it's own thread.
Purpose of this thread is to show what can be done with for 2002+ NSX owners who have the fixed headlights. Although the look is very modern, the internals of this headlight is actually quite dated with shoddy materials and sub-par plastic parts which should be updated to modern standards.
A quick summary of our service and how it works is listed below:
1) You will contact us with your ideas or what modifications you want performed on your headlights
2) Once design is finalized, we will give you a quote and take a 50% deposit to initiate the work process and we will order parts / prep
3) You can either ship us your headlight for the work or we can source new headlights from Acura
3) When work is finished, we will contact you for final payment and the lights will be shipped out
4) Typical turn-around time is 1-2 weeks after we receive your lights depending on workload. We also offer a rushed service for a fee.
Typical rates start at $360 to open the headlights, keep in mind the below prices are in addition to the $360, if you do all the work at the same time, you only pay the $360 once, if you do it on separate occasions which we would not recommend as it weakens the plastic, it would be $360 each time.
So you ask what are the modifications we can do? We have been doing headlights modifications ever since the angel eyes of the e36/e46 M3 days and over the past 15 years have worked on over 200+ sets of lights from all brands. For the 2002+ NSX here are some general services but not limited to:
a) Open headlights to remove amber lense or replace with smoked lense (starts $180)
b) LED upgrade internally with LED's along lower portion of lense (starts at $250)
c) Strengthen/upgrade internal plastics to avoid the "Bounce" effect due to sloppy play from plastic shims ($180)
d) Custom paint internal lense such as NSX-R style with the GPW inner section, or matte black/gloss black (varies, shoot us a PM)
e) Projector retrofit to upgrade OEM projects to higher quality s2000 projector glass (not all projectors are created equal!) (varies, shoot us a PM)
