I have Acura records and clean carfax for Owner's #1 & #2. Owner #3 nicked a deer one evening at low speed. The damage was nothing more than cosmetic and limited to the driver’s side fender, headlight cover/lid and headlight bulb, front bumper cover, and front rim. Other than the front rim which has some curb rash, all other damaged parts have been replaced w/ parts from NSX conversions or are OEM.
Unrelated to Mr. Deer and after the car had a new coat of Spa Yellow paint, I took it to the previous owner to show it off and discovered a problem w/ the original supercharged engine which I removed and replaced w/ a stock ‘98 3.2 engine w/ near perfect compression of 179 - 181 and only 58,000 miles. With the engine replacement, I replaced the timing belt & water pump, changed fluids, coil packs, cleaned injectors, and installed new Sumitomo Tires. It is stored inside and remains in pristine condition. This NSX will make someone very happy. According to my research, this NSX is one of only about two dozen that came with the Acura dealer installed Comptech performance accessories package. This package included a Comptech supercharger, headers and exhaust, and Brembo's "Indy" brakes. I have paperwork that shows this option added an additional $45,000 ($38,931.68 parts and $6,300 labor) to the cost of this NSX when it was purchased brand new in 1998. Meaning, the original owner paid around $135,000 for this NSX.
Owner #3 completed/replaced/installed the following:
Science of Speed Engine hatch and trunk struts.
Bilstein Struts and Eibach Pro Springs.
NSX-R front sway bar.
NSX-R chassis bars.
NSX-R round shift knob (with yellow lettering) and NSX-R carbon fiber/mesh shift boot.
NSX-R carbon fiber hood.
All side markers and front and rear lenses have been tinted.
Downforce carbon fiber / clear engine cover.
Clutch Master Assembly and Slave.
Main relay switch, fuel filter and gas cap.
Ignition switch.
Oxygen (O2) Sensors.
Random Technologies High Flow Catalytic Converters.
Gas tank expansion unit and fuel switch.
Igniter Unit.
K&N Air Filter.
Powdercoated the valve covers; yellow.
Painted brake calipers yellow.
New Duralast battery.
Also included in this sale are the following parts:
Brand new, never installed high performance Porterfield carbon ceramic brake pad set for the Brembo Indy brakes.
Nearly new OEM Honda front lip.
Wolf custom fit, triple layered indoor NSX car cover. Excellent condition.
To be clear, the supercharged engine has been removed and replaced w/ a stock 3.2 and is not included.
As you can see from the pics, this is a very special NSX. It is as shown in the pictures, looks and smells pristine, engine and transmission are fully serviced and ready for a new Owner . I have a clear NC title.
