Hey Ed,did you read the diflow thread about other people having exhaust interference issues with the older valance?You are not alone.Of course you are also a handy guy who is already "fixing" the issue.

Oh yeah - I posted over there the day I got the diffuser. But I'm not a whiner, I'm a fixer, so shall it be done.

Smell? Perhaps you don't see the two new hi-flow spun cats tacked in there...it for sure will be louder though...waiting to hear just how much.

It's funny until you're the guy following lol. I had to follow SFDreamer's car on a few occasions. Let's just say thank goodness for A/C!

4 bolts and hangers and it all comes out...

Very compact, easily will clear the Difflow, and I'll now have the same mufflers that are on Mario's Vette...sound tests to follow.

We have the tips tacked in place but they were a bit too high and far back, so a bit more cutting and positioning. Should be done on Thursday.

There's tons of room for the diffuser, can't wait to get it all together.

Just picked it up - and wow what a difference! No longer do I feel like I'm being followed by angry bees, this thing sounds like a V8 now. Low, great rumble, but far quieter than the RM I replaced. Note that with the new cats that flow about 4x more than the stock ones, and completely open tube design (a plum would roll right through the mufflers) there is the absolute minimum of restriction, with only the 2.5" pipe bends in the system.

Initial drive feel is excellent, throttle response seems better, no drone at all - but again, its so much quieter, perhaps its just the lower tone compared to the higher pitch of the baffle type exhaust.

Now I didn't do a 'before and after' on the sound because when I brought it in I was going to have a pipe cut and moved initially, and as these things tend to do - morphed into a new header back system. I'll get it put together for Cars & Café on Saturday and do some sound vids then. I've got a bunch of work to get it together: Front splitter, Difflow install, etc.

The system is made up of all stainless 2.5" pipe, Magnaflow Spun Cats and Magnaflow Mufflers.

I love the look, the sound is totally different than any NSX I've ever heard, and doesn't appear to be loud enough to draw a crowd of cops. I call it a WIN!

Seriously though, there is about zero performance benefit and the car stinks. I don't see the appeal. FYI. I ran no cats for weeks.

Just had the clear coat polished to remove a ton of scratches and a freshy-fresh wax job...looks better than it has in years.

So the full list this time around was:
- New small coolant hoses (as one of the originals blew a mile from the house)
- Prospeed RDX Injectors and ECU Tune (wow - nothing but awesomeness)
- Seibon Carbon Wing w/third light (Still getting use to seeing it in the rear view!)
- Custom Magnaflow header back system from Tim's Custom Exhaust
- Difflow NA1 diffuser (Just look at the coolness)

What is Ed up to?
