We just created a new design of Radar Detector Mount which fits the NSX and S2000 rearview mirror. Mounting to the Rear View Mirror places the Radar Detector in the Best Possible location for Early Warning and Un-Obstructed Detection, and is the Recommended Position by Mike Valentine, inventor of the Valentine One Radar Detector.

The NSX and S2000 use mirrors produced by Murakami, which has a uniquly-shaped stem incompatible with BlendMount and other similar solutions. We solved this by creating a unique torsion clamp in Solidworks CAD software, our Torsion Clamp not only fits a large variety of Mirror Stems, it also uses tension to prevent the clamp from loosening over time, which is a problem with other designs.

Our Mount fits cars with Murakami Mirrors (NSX and S2000), as well as nearly any vehicle, including those which until now could not use Mirror Mounts for Radar Detectors. Our Revolutionary Torsion-Clamp is designed to deflect around Wedge-shaped, Cylindrical, and Squared Stems, allowing nearly universal compatibility, and Quick Installation without removing or permanently modifying your mirror.

• Eliminates Failure-Prone Suction Cups.
• Places the Radar Detector in the Best-Possible Position for Front and Rear Detection.
• Compatible with nearly any Rearview Mirror, including S2000 and NSX.
• Unique Design fits all Current V1, Escort, Beltronics, and Cobra Radar Detectors, with the same Mount!
• Greatest level of Adjustability, fully adjustable for Pan and Tilt!
• AL6061 and AISI 12L14 Carbon Steel Construction.

Our Mount is $36.95, we also offer attractive pricing for Resellers, please Contact Us for more details.

One Mount fits V1, Escort, Beltronics, and Cobra Radar Detectors! Using our Unique Adaptall™ Base.

By looks of these, drilling Is needed correct? Can you confirm this? And is there a reason why your website is cheaper than this group buy? (28.95)

Hello,

The mount we're offering is a new design, it clamps into place with no drilling.

Here is a DIY Installation (into an NSX), the process takes about 5 minutes, and requires no permanent modification.

Hello,

Our website only shows our First-Generation mount, which we're Clearancing out (as it's being replaced with this new design)

No permanent modification is required for this mount.

Very interested, can you take a quick rear picture of how you mounted on your NSX or s2000.

Interested in 2 if I can see it, I'm a visual learner

Got mine in the mail today and posted some pics.

My ONLY gripe with the product is I had to use my existing detector mount. Not a huge problem but I now have to buy another braket (around $15) whenever I want to quickly move my detector to another car.

My previous GRIPE now becomes a benefit. Since I use the existing detector mount, the detector feels at home and snaps in securely.

Mounting the mirror when it was freestanding was a PAIN. I imagine it will be more difficult when performing it in the car. Nevertheless, its unavoidable and only has to be done once. Nice thing though is you have two pivot points which allow fine tuning the angle of the detector.

I have YET to install this in my garage as its a bit hot today. Also, I have a gentex mirror so my install will be different from many of you. Nevertheless, I am still happy with my purchase and give it a 8/10. Now, if it came with a good universal mounting bracket so I didn't have to use my existing mount I would give it a 9/10

Took me 3 tries and 45 mins to install this. I cannot speak for the NSX yet (its at home sleeping) but for the S2000, you must understand that there is a "BASE" and a "Stem" The Stem is the moving part attached to the mirror. The instructions were NOT clear so I installed it on the STEM and were not able to move the mirror more than a few degrees in each direction.

If you look at this picture, it is clamped on the "BASE", the base is the part that sticks to the windshield.

So far it is sturdy on the S2000. The device does have "teeth" like marks, so it will scratch the base a little if you take it off. For those who are "anal" about it, get a piece of thin double sided tape and cut it to fit the clamp so when you do clamp it, its the tape that clamps to the base.

Can someone give us a review on the NSX and Range of Motion. (move the mirror)

If it works, I'll grab one for the NSX too.

Thanks,

(I know this review is not great on an NSX forum, but I figured some of us have S2000's too)

This is my first mistake, I clamped it on the Stem. You can see the scratch on the stem from the teeth marks.

Based on the new pics provided by the vendor, you mounted it wrong like I did Richard. Needs to go on the base.

Ordered my second one 2 days ago, and its here already. Great Service, Fast. :)

Just in time for the Beach meet this Sunday. Thanks again.

I meant to post my review earlier.

My biggest complaint is that once I tighten everything down, my rearview mirror is no longer usable. It is facing a certain way and I have to lean over to the right to look directly behind.

Anyone else get this?

Hello,

It sounds like the part isn't installed correctly, our bracket doesn't affect the mirror position at all, you can even adjust the mirror without moving the detector, since our product clamps onto the mirror's base.

This shows the mirror being freely adjusted in an NSX-T:

http://youtu.be/kIOHedEllqM?t=4m18s

If you watch the full video, it shows an installation into an NSX-T, which takes only a few minutes.

You're right. I installed it in the party closest to the mirror

Is this guy still selling these? Seems his website is down and he hasn't logged into Prime since Jan 13.

Edit: nevermind, the site is back up.
