I had some of these guys when I was in Dalian, China last year. They are cicadas.

I saw this in some documentary where they are eaten by just about everything.

Any leftovers die and their remains fertilize the plants and trees.

Their only line of defense is safety by numbers.

Haven't had live octopus yet, seen other eat it, but I've eaten raw octopus all the time. It's really good.

I once had a fresh, raw lobster. It was so fresh, it's body was still moving. Basically they just ripped it's tail off, scrambled it's meat, and turned it upside down and you would pick at it. They turned the head around so it basically looked like he was looking at you eat his own body. His claws would try to still grab your chopsticks as you picked at his meat. Pretty freaky.

I have not had any of the above but I have have had ducks blood and some other things but still quite tame from what is eaten out there around the world ... ohh you can get any of this stuff at a quality Dim Sum Restaurant

what did it taste like?

Arf?

The raccoon was very heavily marinated with a sweet Bar-B-Que sauce.

It tasted like beef and had the toughness of pork. Also a bit on the stronger side like dark poultry VS white poultry. The heavy marinate was the overall flavor on purpose to cut back on the ' dark ' gamy flavor.

Overall , not bad. I would eat it again.


~Picture before cooking~

Not any where close to as nasty as some of the stuff here, but I ate a rabbit heart once. It was quite gross. It was like chewing one of those super balls. I kept chewing and chewing and chewing and it was just nightmarish to choke down.

There appears to be, from my vantage point, some nasty lookin' $hit on this thread.
But nothing comes close to how "bad" the wings at Hooters are!!!!!
