my 2002 brooklands green front end conversion
<img src="http://www.nsxprime.com/photopost/data/500/medium/wasnt_that_hard_was_it.jpg" />
right before the front end under go
<img src="http://www.nsxprime.com/photopost/data/500/medium/old_front_end.jpg" />
well. i've been thinking about doing it for a while. this is a pseudo how to and how i did it. sorry i didnt get as detailed as how to pull every gasket and bold..but there are so many other threads that have that info. this write up is showing all the parts needed and the biggest question that we all have. what parts do i really need to order from honda?

my build went as follows:

Downforce front bumper:
DF-AAA101
<img src="http://www.nsxprime.com/photopost/data/500/medium/downforce_bumper_from_right_just_sitting_there.jpg" />

02 headlights purchased from Downforce:
33101-SL0-A04
33151-SL0-A04
<img src="http://www.nsxprime.com/photopost/data/500/medium/drivers_side_headlight.jpg" />
<img src="http://www.nsxprime.com/photopost/data/500/medium/passenger_side_headlight.jpg" />
Downforce headlight mounting kit
<img src="http://www.nsxprime.com/photopost/data/500/downforce_light_brackets.jpg" />

Seibon hood:
HD0205ACNSX-VSII
<img src="http://www.nsxprime.com/photopost/data/500/medium/seibon_hood.jpg" />

and all of the following part numbers from honda:
71140-SL0-010
71151-SL0-010
71152-SL0-020
71162-SL0-010
71167-SL0-010
71120-SL0-010
71125-SL0-010
33123-SL0-A01
33173-SL0-A01
<img src="http://www.nsxprime.com/photopost/data/500/all_parts_needed_from_honda.jpg" />

so all the parts listed are everything that i got to do my conversion. the only other thing you'll need is a set of HID's. and you'll have to lengthen the wires for your corner lights and turn signals. here are some pictures from my conversion. if you have any questions please feel free and i hope this helps some of you guys out!

<img src="http://www.nsxprime.com/photopost/data/500/medium/old_front_end_headlights_pulled.jpg" />
<img src="http://www.nsxprime.com/photopost/data/500/medium/passenger_side_headlight_bucket.jpg" />
<img src="http://www.nsxprime.com/photopost/data/500/medium/drivers_side_headlight_bucket.jpg" />
<img src="http://www.nsxprime.com/photopost/data/500/medium/old_bumper.jpg" />
<img src="http://www.nsxprime.com/photopost/data/500/medium/bumper_pulled_bumper_bar_seen.jpg" />
<img src="http://www.nsxprime.com/photopost/data/500/medium/downforce_frame_layover_cutout.JPG" />
<img src="http://www.nsxprime.com/photopost/data/500/medium/right_side_headlight_showing_oem_bracket.jpg" />

<img src="http://www.nsxprime.com/photopost/data/500/medium/headlight_fit_and_hood_mounted.jpg" />

now all the stuff on the car was held on with a bolt here and there...this is not the actual fitment of the parts. the downforce bumper was a 100 percent bolt on. no sanding cutting etc.

Looks good. Never seen 02 conversion on B. Green. Just drop her 1.25 and she will be sitting pretty. Since you did all the labor, you just paid for parts. 3-4K in just parts alone? I think the 02 conversion looks better on dark color NSX. Cheaper than buying the 02++. Spend 6-8K and save yourself an additional $20-30K++ for the real deal. Smart:biggrin:

Very nice work, especially for a DIY! What hood is that? The fitment seems a little off.

its a seibon hood. and the fitment could be better. unfortunately i went against my better judgement and bought this hood...i should have bought the downforce hood. i've re-adjusted it since those pictures...pulled the fenders in a little more and got some of the gap out, especially the one on the front where it meets the bumper. and thank you for the compliment:)

i actually think we are two of the few. unless im mistaken that is the one that eric did and is now located in texas? i've been toying with the idea of painting the car either championship white or nighthawk black...but as rare as the brooklands green is...i dont think i will. i talked to one of my painters and we talked about putting a black smoke in the clearcoat to darken the green up a little bit after we re-spray the brooklands.

as far as the price...

hood was about 900
bumper was 900
the headlights were about 1600
all of the little stuff from honda added up to 460 shipped
paint and misc stuff (downforce headlight mounts, hids)...

all said and done...right about 4000

thanks for all the compliments!:biggrin:

Bill about time you posted some pics. It looks great even better in person. He did it all him self right in front of his home, thats skills. I know when I am ready who to hit up for my 02 upgrade:biggrin:.

We just took off my front bumper to swap out the lower bumper skirt. Definitely needed 2 people when pulling off and on. It wasn't as bad as I thought. Just a lot of bolts and nuts.

Job well done.

Are those stock front fenders? they appear to flare out a bit more than what I am used to seeing?

hey there! thanks for the compliment. they do infact flare out a ton...i think it was about 3 inches on each side. they are the cantrell concepts widebody fenders with the poor little stock 16'' rims up front. havent got the rest of the widebody yet. been toying with the idea of taking them off and finding some stock fenders but havent decided yet :) the fitment of these fenders are really really good. you can pick up a set from Scienceofspeed.com ofcourse. thanks again!

I like this pic. I was trying to figure out what was with the white bar and the top of the driver's head and then realized he's not in the NSX but in a car next to yours.:biggrin: Of course chatting on the phone as well.
