It's about that time again! The KC Z Club will be hosting yet another Cruise in the Country coming up on November 2nd. As usual, we will meet at Red Robin in Independence off of 470 and 40 Highway around 9AM, departing around 10AM. If you have never been to one of KCZ's Cruises in the Country before, it's a drive that any sports car enthusiast is sure to enjoy. The cruises generally last approximately 2-3 hours with lunch at the end.

The drive is not exclusive to Nissan Z's either. KC Z welcomes other sports cars from other clubs to join us on our drive.

I will post more information as the day gets closer, but I hope to see you guys there! Hopefully it's not ridiculously cold and snowing by then!

Figured we should get an official post...

WHERE: Red Robin
18810 E US Highway 40
Independence, MO 64055

WHEN: Meeting around 9:45am, departing around 10:30am.

WHAT: A spirited drive in the country. Lots of twisties, a few straights, and a ton of fun. The drive should take approximately 3 hours, followed by lunch afterwarda.

WHO: Hosted by the KC Z Club again as in the past, but invites have gone out all ranges of cars; from Z cars to NSXs to BMWs. Expect all kinds of makes and models. I personally will be driving my NSX.

Join us for potentially the last cruise of the year! Nice weather is becoming scarce, and I know everyone's itching for one last cruise of the season, so come on out and go for a nice drive with us. We will likely be leaving in two groups, a "slow" group and a "slower" group. It is not required, but honestly HIGHLY reccommended that the first group have some sort of track/autoX experience... We don't want anyone pushing beyond their limits and want everyone to be comfortable driving and simply have a good time!

We'll see everyone there!

Hey Pete,

I noticed you now have a '92 NSX in your possession. When did you get it? The car looks gorgeous!! I also love those wheels. Please give me the details. I hope to make it this Sunday for my only run this year. This year has been nuts on my scheduling. Thanks.

Picked it up last Friday actually... Thanks for the compliments! I love driving it... it's a hell of a driver's car. Found it in Lee's Summit oddly enough. Thing that attracted me to it is that he had maintenence records for timing belt, A/C, clutch, snap ring, etc etc... All the big stuff has been fixed. All that's left for me to do is drive her!

Hope to see you Sunday!

i may just stop by and see whats going on that day. Can't get on it as i used to clutch is slipping. BTW-Pete have fun with the new NSX. There's another black one that has 18-19 inch BBS wheels. He lives on the opposite side of town from me near James A. Reed. his screen name is RacerNSX.

Ooh... BBS. How I'd like to have a set of those on mine.

Looking like the weather's gonna be awesome this weekend, hope everyone can make it out. Hopin the clutch is managable enough for you to take it out on the drive Joseph! Should be a good time, and I've been wanting to see that beast of yours again for a while now.

Hmmmm....I showed up at 9:00am which was actually 8:00am.......I've been working on a house project for 3 months rebuilding a deck and was looking for a break. BTW-did Amanda show up? she drives a black 350z roadster?

You know, I'm not sure... There were a few Z's there, but I don't remember seeing a black 350 roadster. We also had a pretty big turnout though, so it's possible that I just missed her.

Nope,

They forgot to get up. The others 350z's didn't come since they went to the CHIEFS game. Maybe do a last run in November. I can bring my NSX but will probally ride the rest of the journey shot gun and photograph stuff.

Wow, looks like a good turnout! Sorry I crapped out. From the looks of some of the cars, did you go down a dirt road? Or did some find that same curve that you did last time Pete? The Cooper with the "police interceptor" emblem is a hoot! Pete, when are you going to wash and polish that thing? If figures that Robert and John would show when I didn't. Any "incidents" this time, good or bad? Gary

No dirt roads... Actually all of the roads were relatively decent this time around! And I actually just clay barred and Zaino'ed my NSX two days ago, so she should be in a little bit better form... May need to take a wheel to her to get all the swirls out though.

And unfortunately, we did have another incident... It was early on, though. The two guys on bikes that went with us on Angel's cruise made it out again, but unfortunately, Garrett laid his CBR600 down in the first ten minutes. Cold tires combined with a dusty road got the best of him. Luckily he was unhurt, but that much cannot be said for the bike.

Oh, and apparently there was a police helicopter looking for us. I'm flattered, really, seeing as I was leading the "speed limit" group. :D :D :D

I forgot to tell you after i spent a lot of money buying zaino I'm switching to Zymol. Dark colored cars look like they are wrapped in plastic. Versus the Deep Color. Basically, i think i could use both the zymol for the color and the zaino for the UV prodection.

BTW-Did you update to the new factory lip or did that come with it? I noticed since i tend to impale every piece of road kill on my old carbon one. good riddance.

It came with it. It's in pretty rough shape though... was planning on actually doing a similar carbon one to yours, hah! Hopefully I'll do some of the NSX-R underbody pieces over the winter as well as the stabilizer bars and Carbing strut brace. I'd like to do the '02 rear skirt + downforce NSX-R diffuser at some point as well.
