"Official" Zanardi Thread...

Ben, TyraNSX and Myself are going to start the all official Zanardi Roll call, owner registry. If you currently own one, had one, know of one, whatever...post it up with as much info as you can. I'm going to be running Carfax's and cross checking the Honda database so we can finally set the record straight. Please post vins and miles. Just copy and paste the list with the updated info.

I currently have info on 35/51 cars and would like to preserve the history behind this great car.

It has a Comptech supercharger, exhaust and lowered w/ Comptech springs. Chrome 17" and 18" BBS wheels. Keyless entry and factory CD changer. Original owner, purchased new at Scottsdale Acura. Factory extended warrenty 7 yr/100K. Bra and cover. Car still has plastic over NSX plate on threshold. 21,600 miles.

There were actually 51 valid Zanardi VINs. If you are uncomfortable with sending us your full VIN, all we need are the last 8 digits.

About 6 months ago, I was reading a magazine at the grocery store that had an interview with Zanardi. In the interview, he said he still has his Zanardi NSX.

I pulled the CARFAX on all 51 a few months ago and here is some information from those:

#15 has interesting history. As of 9/9/2006 it only had 3041 miles with the original owner. The original owner exported it to Japan on 10/24/2007.

#49 Salvage

CARFAX reported three other Zanardi’s with collision damage, but I won’t list them here. By following the prime, I have kept track of 12 others that reported damage or some kind or repaint, but not listed in CARFAX.

Appreciate the updates, hopefully we can track them all and hyper-link the ones currently for sale on various websites (cars.com, autotrader, e-bay). Im not really concerned with paintwork cars, just real interesting facts. Im mostly concerned with the vin# and miles.:wink:

Oh, also met a car dealer this weekend who had a Zanardi that was totaled. It fell off a flat bed or something bizarre. I have to call him back later this week so he can look up the vin number.

I met Bob (username: rbpeirce) on the way to NSXPO 2007 and he had #40 as of October 2007.

I wish I would have done a some more research on these when I bought my nsx-t 4 years ago...at that time I found many Z's for sale, had I known the rareity I would never passed them up!

That's crazy that #39 was stolen and never recovered. Where did it go? It couldn't have just vanished.

funny thing is everyone wants one and nobody wants to pay extra.ive had a bunch of people contact me asking me if i want to sell and when i ask them how much, out comes the book

I don't doubt that. I probably backed off when I found out you had 50k plus miles. Looking for lower than that.

Im just playing around, I really love this car. I was driving to work this morning and caught my brother in his 02, lets just say it's like night and day. :biggrin:

yeah, ill be buying my dads 04 off lease w/ @15k in jan.. just drove drove his yesterday again. cant believe my z is the same car. down the same road i live on, winding river rd, over 100mph my car feels like a video game. actually feels like i squats down the faster i go. same rd the stock 04 feels floaty. rolls and jiggles over the inperfections.
